Why does everyone say "use your free time while you have it"? As far as I can see, I will always be single. So I guess my "free time" is my entire life. Well that makes it sure sound shitty.
No one tell me I'm wrong. I'm 35, not some whiney 18 yr old bitch who's sad her boyfriend of 3 hours is talking to some other kid.

I've lost myself, due to a recently broke-up relationship. I forgot how to be on my own. The idea of being single really makes me anxious. That feeling of being unwanted, rejected, and unloved. But now, i've been rebuilding my own world, the myths about being single are downright wrong written all over it! We CAN be happy as singles, The whole world is ours to enjoy with everyone else. A relationship wouldn't magically give us a full-fulling and satisfactory life, its a myth. Being happy and being in a relationship are independent states, (and most of the time oppose each other, if being in a relationship for the wrong reason)

Through an article on ehow.com.- I wish I could find something that deals with singleness from the religious angle. I feel worse about myself in church than anywhere else. And yet people in church claim Jesus was single. Hmmm. Would they welcome Him if He showed up one Sunday? That Christian website you recommended only seems to be obsessed with finding "the One God has picked out for you." I'm so sick of it all!

Hi, I'm here again just to impart some encouragement and advice to us singles. Something I realized just recently, and it really helps:
It's good to use the time while you're single to improve yourself and to grow more as a person. If you are single you may as well use the time productively, and use the time to transform yourself into an awesome person (if you aren't already, heh heh). I'm doing that now, and at least it feels like I'm accomplishing something and the time isn't going to waste. I'm reading books now, and finishing a university degree, and soon I'll be moving to a new city and travelling again...none of it is a 'waste'. By the time I meet Mr. Right I'll be a well-read, well-educated, well-travelled woman..
So, chin up guys and gals, realize your single time is not a waste. Think of how awesome you'll be by the time you meet them! And even before that happens, you'll still be awesome!

i love your site . i love being single. being alone is not boring . being alone is awesome . i make my own food , i make noodles , dosas( indian food like pizza) , i do like to make complicated soups which i have to learn .
